CultureCo is onderdeel van RASA, de studentenvereniging van het University College Roosevelt, gevestigd in Middelburg. De campus van het University College is een internationale hub in Zeeland, met studenten vanuit de hele wereld. Een ideale plek om culturele diversiteit te vieren, en dit is dan ook precies wat CultureCo doet! De commissie organiseert allerlei activiteiten om de studenten met allerlei achtergronden nog beter kennis te laten maken met elkaars cultuur. Denk aan filmavonden met films uit allerlei landen (van Russische animatiefilms tot Spaanse comedy’s), multiculturele diners met heerlijke zelfgemaakte gerechten uit de hele wereld en zelfs culturele stedentrips! Daarnaast schenkt de commissie ook altijd aandacht aan feestdagen uit allerlei culturen. Zo geven ze achtergrondinformatie op hun Facebookpagina over de geschiedenis van de feestdagen, maar CultureCo viert ze ook! Zo organiseerde de commissie enkele maanden geleden nog hun eigen Holi Festival (zie: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=192697928818502). Dankzij CultureCo kunnen de studenten in Middelburg dus meer leren over elkaars cultuur, op een hele gezellige manier. CultureCo is part of RASA, the student association of University College Roosevelt, based in Middelburg. The university campus is an international hub in Zeeland, with students from all around the world. An ideal place to promote and celebrate cultural diversity, and CultureCo does exactly that! The committee organises a variety of events and activities to connect the students and let them learn about each other’s culture. Examples include movie nights with movies from various countries (from Russian cartoons to Spanish comedies), multicultural dinners with delicious homemade dishes from all around the world, and even cultural city trips! Next to this, the Culture Committee pays attention to holidays from various cultures. They provide background information of the holidays on their Facebook page, but CultureCo also celebrates these days! Thanks to CultureCo, students in Middelburg can learn more about each other’s culture, in a very fun and “gezellig” way.
